DIRECTOR of the Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Floyd Scott, said Guyana has an opportunity to lead the region and set the benchmark in the area of occupational standards for mines supervision.

Guyana has been given the green light to award the Caribbean Vocational Qualifications or CVQs, as they are commonly called, in Technical Vocation Education Training (TVET).

Caribbean Vocational Qualification to be piloted in 11 secondary schools starting September

(July 29, 2019) – The Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) will be piloted in 11 schools starting September 2019 to provide secondary school students with validation of skills.

A contract worth US$250,953 was signed today between the Ministry of Education and Deen and Partners for the design of a Hospitality Institute which will address the growing demands in the hospitality sector.

Hosted the certificate ceremony for member of staff of AWHWAES who completed the Competence Based Education Training workshop delivered by CTVET through the Ministry of Education.

Mr. Scott, Director of CTVET, graced the occasion and presented the certificates to the newly qualified individuals.
